Job Title: Tester, Revenue Accounting Automation – Phoenix, AZ (American Airlines)
Job Description: American Airlines is looking for a dedicated and experienced Revenue Accounting Automation Tester to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. Responsibilities:
- Testing & Automation: Perform manual and automated testing on revenue accounting systems to ensure seamless integration, data accuracy, and process efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including technology, revenue accounting, and operations, to define test requirements and troubleshoot issues related to accounting automation.
- Process Improvements: Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement solutions that increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention in accounting workflows.
- Reporting & Documentation: Document test cases, results, and defects found during testing, ensuring full traceability and clear communication with all relevant stakeholders.
- System Integration: Ensure smooth integration of accounting systems and applications by performing system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Quality Assurance: Provide recommendations to improve the functionality, usability, and performance of revenue accounting automation tools and systems.
- Training & Support: Provide support for training and onboarding new team members, offering insights on best practices for testing and automation.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience:
- Prior experience in a testing or quality assurance role, preferably in the finance, accounting, or airline industry.
- Familiarity with accounting systems, revenue recognition processes, and automation tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of system integration, test case creation, and execution.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, etc.).
- Knowledge of SQL, databases, and scripting languages.
- Experience with financial systems integration and accounting automation processes is desirable.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive in identifying and addressing issues.

Educational Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
