We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative Lead Data Scientist - Pricing to spearhead data-driven pricing strategies and solutions. In this role, you will leverage advanced analytical methods, machine learning models, and statistical tools to optimize pricing frameworks, enhance revenue, and improve customer satisfaction.

As a leader in the pricing analytics team, you will collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and finance teams to identify pricing opportunities, build predictive models, and develop actionable insights. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in data science, a strong business acumen, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of data professionals.

Key Skills: Advanced machine learning, statistical modeling, pricing strategy development, and experience with tools like Python, R, SQL, and data visualization platforms.

Job description

Our Applied Data Science team is tackling challenges such as homeowner-contractor matching, forecasting key business metrics, and using predictive models to optimize consumer experience. This role will give you the opportunity to shape the vision and implementation of our 2-sided marketplace pricing strategy using state-of- the-art machine learning infrastructure and big data processing tools.

What you’ll do
• Leading and developing a best-in-class data science pricing program
• Creating a strategic pricing vision and develop initiatives aimed to accomplish the vision
• Building productive and efficient relationships with stakeholders across marketing, data/analytics, product, and finance
• Creating mathematical and data driven solutions for difficult pricing problems at scale
• Developing, maintaining, and monitoring the performance of production quality code
• Learning the complex Angi ecosystem and historical pricing paradigms in order to be a subject matter expert on the data, analysis, and modeling

Who you are
• Master’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics or similar quantitative field and/or 7+ years of experience in:
• Performing quantitative analysis, predictive analytics, mathematical modeling and/or machine learning
• Proven record of working closely with senior leadership
• Experience with price elasticity, pricing strategy, and pricing in a 2 sided marketplace
• Demonstrating creative problem solving skills to inform decisions, improve outcomes, and deliver transformation through data
• Developing predictive models and analysis using R and/or Python
• Interacting with data using SQL
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Compensation & Benefits:
• The salary band for this position ranges from $175,000-$230,000, commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living.
• This position will be eligible for a competitive year end performance bonus & equity package.
